There are currently 27 young people, 10-18 years of age at Second Chance Youth Ranch.  The vast majority of our students come to the ranch via court order and DHS Child Protection Division.  Most of our young people have been subjected to abuse or neglect, and need therapeutic care and a stable living environment.

What are the short term and long term goals of Second Chance Youth Ranch?

Our short term goal is to build a new bunkhouse every 12-18 months.  Long term we are endeavoring to develop an off-site “Transitional Living Center” for those leaving Second Chance Youth Ranch at the age of 18 years old and need to transition into the community but need some assistance in getting established in their career.  It is also our desire to have a home for teen girls who are pregnant and need help in having their baby and perhaps placing the child in a loving home.

Are there Employment opportunities?

Yes, we are always looking for qualified and dedicated staff that want to work with young people and want to be involved in an organization giving them an opportunity to succeed.
